Adisa pitha an sweet dish

Ingredients:

  1. 2 cups ordinary Rice 
  2. Sugar ( 1  cup )
  3. 1 cup water
  4. Little sesame seed
  5.  Ghee/oil for frying.




Preparation:(30 mins)
step-1

1. Soak the raw rice for 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
 2.Drain out all the water and air dry under fan for an half an hour.( not under sun)

3.Grind in a mixer grinder to a coarse powder and sieve the  powder .

4.Heat 1 cup of  water in a wok. Add 1 cup of sugar .Bring to a boil .
 5.When it is sufficiently thickened and sticky , add the sesame seed+ rice in      small amounts and mix well.

6.Make small thick round shapes out of the mixture especially when it is warm.
7.Take little oil on hand while making the rounds out  of the mixture so that it would not stick to your hand.
8.Heat oil in a wok for deep frying . Put the rounds  in oil and cook for 2-3 min.
9.Remove and allow to cool down over thick tissue papers  to absorb the oil.
